The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs held a presentation of a board game “MIA Archive - Chronicle” at Gori State Teaching
University. The new project was presented by Mr. Givi Mikanadze, Rector of the Academy.
The event was attended by Mr. Omar Tushurashvili, Director of the Archive of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rector of Gori State
Teaching University, as well as both the rectors and the students of the Faculty of History of the University.
The board game enables students to test their knowledge of modern history of Georgia (concrete period), as well as learn Road Safety
At the end of the presentation, Mr. Givi Mikanadze presented Gori State Teaching University students a complete set of the game, which
will be used at the history lectures.
The project aims at increasing public awareness of historical records concerning modern history of Georgia, which are preserved in the
MIA Archive and are accessible to public, as well as introducing interactive methodology for teaching history both in the secondary
general-education schools and the universities throughout Georgia.
